The purpose of SOSOrinoco is to shed light on the existing body of work regarding the situation in the Amazonia and Orinoquia regions of Venezuela, to raise awareness of the tragedy that is occurring and to outline some urgent measures that need to be taken in order to halt the unfolding human and environmental disaster.
Since 2017, V5Initiative has focused on the Venezuelan humanitarian, political and environmental crises that are impacting the hemisphere and is tackling the myriad of issues that must be considered as we envision a ‘day after’ the so-called Bolivarian Revolution for the country and the region.
V5Initiative offers consulting services to non-profit organizations that focus on the environment, human rights, democratic and universal values, character education, as well as promoting and networking with intellectual and social entrepreneurs in the Americas who wish to work together in these areas. We lead and support broad initiatives that promote better and more informed policy making and governance at the national and international level, to promote and empower the involvement of individuals, NGO’s and the private sector in matters of public policy through the dissemination of information that will raise awareness and invite action.
